Our story begins here…

For Ahmed, a life-long Virginian, ice cream has always been a favorite dessert and as time goes on, it still is.  

A love for ice cream turned into a passion when he decided to make personalized flavors for himself to enjoy at home.  As the personal commitment began, so did the Covid-19 pandemic.  

During this time, our family began sharing our ice cream with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy in their own homes and on the back porch for small outdoor gatherings. Soon we learned our ice cream was loved by many, and Ahmed’s nephew brought his entrepreneurial spirit with the idea to bring our flavors to the local markets for others to try.  This became a reality in 2021, with the official launch of Authors.  

At Authors, our small-batch stories are penned with fresh, premium ingredients for the smoothest, creamiest ice creams.  We churn endlessly over our flavors that honor the best in season gifts from the earth — thoughtfully sourced at home and globally.  Our ice cream is made at our designated commercial space in Chantilly, Virginia and brought to our local farmer’s markets, holiday festivals, and special events.

We’re the family with the small cart and great heart.
